Perhaps, this was a first in the history of the famed Alwar bookstore in Luz.
The release of a book in the shadow of an avenue tree and against the hum of men and machines located on the Chennai Metro rail project metres away.
Karthik Chidambaram, founder and CEO of DCKAP, a cloud based software product company, launched his first book titled ‘ஞாயிறு கடிதம்’ (Sunday Letters).
The book is a collection of handwritten letters originally posted on social media every Sunday.
Karthik’s team says that this event holds special significance as it marks the first time in the bookstore’s history that a brand new book was launched by the author in the presence of his team and the late Alwar’s daughters, Julie and Marie, and a one-year-old great-grandson.
“Their presence added a personal touch to the event, highlighting the deep-rooted connection between the bookstore and the local community,” said Srija Santhanam who is part of the team.
