The Choir of CSI St. Thomas English Church in San Thome will be presenting an evening of Passiontide music on Sunday, March 24 at 6.00 pm in the 181-year-old church.
The choir is led by Anila Manoharan and it will be singing selections from ‘Man of Sorrows’ by Van Denman Thompson – a cantata for Holy Week, tracing the events from Christ’s suffering, his crucifixion and redemption, to resurrection on Easter morning.
Earlier in the morning, the congregation will join the Ecumenical Palm Sunday Procession starting from St. Raphael’s Girls Higher Secondary School at 7.00 am, under the leadership of the Presbyter Rev. Anitha Christian.
CSI St. Thomas English Church also has special worship services planned for Holy Week, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
