The St. Bedes Anglo-Indian HSS ‘ A’ team lifted the prestigious B. Somasundaram trophy, winning the TN Cricket Association’s annual schools tourney for under 14 cricketers.
It beat Sri Ramachandra Public School in the final held this past week.
Off spinner Royal Gangwani took 5 wickets for just 18 runs, including a hat trick and this spun the challengers out. Earlier, Nitin Dhamodhar scored 34 runs for St. Bede’s.
Scores – St Bedes – 179 in 50 overs. Sri Ramachandra – 139 all out.
