The community at Our Lady of Light Church in Luz has been involved in a few social projects for the Lenten season.
On Sunday, a blood donation camp was held and 25 people donated blood.
On Wednesday, March 25, members of the unit’s St Vincent de Paul Society will present some 80 people from economically weak sec tions, mostly from the church community, with hampers of dry foodstuff.
This unit is made up of just 12 members.
On Maundy Thursday, during Holy Mass, families who have saved money and rice for the Lenten season will offer it as donations to the priest – to be given to the poor.
