The crucial part of Holy Week at local churches began with Maundy/Holy Thursday services on March 29 evening.
The symbolic washing of the feet act was followed in churches in the early part of the Mass, an act that Jesus did to his apostles in a show of humility, charity anf forgiveness.
At Our Lady of Guidance Church on Lazarus Church Road, parish priest Fr Bosco led the service and washed the feet of seniors – as seen in the photo.
Adoration services continued after Holy Mass, going up to midnight. These will continue through Good Friday
