The community at CSI Church of the Good Shepherd in Mylapore conducted a social welfare programme on March 3.
The event was organised by secretary K. Sudhakar Immanuel and treasurer E. Sugirson under the guidance of presbyter Rev G. Earnest Selvadurai .
Church members donated various articles like sewing machines, iron boxes, water dispensers, wheel chairs and walkers. These items were later distributed to the poor and the needy.
Some church members contributed money that will be given to people to set up small shops..
