Nrithya Nadam and Hamsanadam jointly conducted Thyagaraja aradhana on Sunday, Feb 18 evening at Sri Anjaneyarswamy Temple in Alamelumangapuram, Mylapore.
The goshti ganam of Thyagaraja’s pancharathnams was sung and performed by many vidwans and vidushis at the venue as a tribute to saint Thyagaraja.
Meghna Venkat ( Bharatanatyam artiste who runs Nrithya Nadham) belongs to the lineage of saint Thyagaraja. Her family members have been conducting the aradhana for several years now.
This year, she joined hands with artiste and teacher Subha Ganeasan of Hamsanadam, which is based in Mylapore zone, to hold the aradhana.
