A social media post by two youths who shot themselves dancing to a film song inside Sri Kapali Temple has triggered widespread criticism.
Though the post was posted in December 2023 it seems to have gained traction now.
The duo who posted the video have taken it off now and apologised.
A temple official said that a complaint was registered with the Cyber Crime wing of TN Police. The officer said that though her team had checked the CCTV footage of the past, the ‘dancing act’ of the duo was not located.
The temple is covered by a large CCTV network and maintenance staff are always on the rounds of this premises.
