Mylapore police have arrested a man who resides in Kapali Thottam for allegedly attacking a Alamelumangapuram resident, a woman, and robbing her of jewellery she was wearing.
The crime was committed last Thursday and the arrest on Friday.
Police said the man stepped into the house, asked for a glass of water to drink, and then grabbed at her ear ring and got away with it.
Police said the ear ring was recovered.
