Mylapore police have arrested a 60-year-old man who is charged with sexually harassing a school girl at the ice-cream parlour he managed on Natchiappa Street, Mylapore ( off Arundel Street).
This incident happened in the middle of last week.
The police say that in the complaint lodged at the station, the man allegedly touched the girl when she went to the shop to buy ice cream. Hurt, she is said to have shared the incident with her sister; the duo then confronted the man in the shop and he is said to have harassed the two.
The girl then complained to the police. The man, Madan Lal, was arrested under section 354 IPC and 8 of POSCO Act and remanded to judicial custody.
