CSI Church of the Good Shepherd in Mylapore celebrated its 125th anniversary on Sunday, January 28.
On this occasion, the church honoured all the previous pastors who served in this parish.
Special achievement awards were given to two church members-. The duo were Dr. Kingston who has been honoured for being the best in general surgery by the Tamil Nadu government and Kabilan who won a bronze medal for boxing in the Khelo India Games held recently.
A pattimandram was organised. The grand celebration wound up with a special lunch.
The event was organised by pastor Rev Earnest Selvadurai along with the K. Sudhakar Immanuel, secretary, E .Sugirson Vincent, treasurer and other members of the pastorate committee.
Last week, three free weddings were held in the church. The entire expenses were borne by church member V. P. Raju and his family.
