This may be a different kind of event timed for Valentine’s Day. It is to be held in Vislakshi Thottam zone of Mylapore on February 14 evening.
Inter-caste and inter-religious couples, of all ages, who reside in the city are to be felicitated at this event, to be held in a public space near Mandaveli MRTS station.
Also, an exhibition of people who lost their lives in Tamil Nadu in what are labelled ‘honour’ killings, a campaign for laws to deal with perpetrators of these murders and a cultural programme.
The event has been got up by members of the AIYF, the CPI party’s youth wing and by National Federation of Indian Women ( NFIW).
