A formal start of work on a religio-cultural complex of the HR&CE department planned on land (owned by Sri Kapali Temnple ) located off Greenways Road in R. A. PuramĀ was launched among other temple projects by chief minister M. K. Stalin.
He did so via video conference.
The project cost is budgeted at Rs.28.76 crores.
The department intends to have a variety of sections here – from library and study spaces, to galleries and meeting spaces, all related to Hindu religion and culture.
Officers of the department including the executive office of Sri Kapali Temple, the Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu and local DMK party members took part.

The state kitty has all the fund generated by Hindu temples. One step by the state govt surprisingly towards Hindu Religion doesn’t go well with some perverts
First health, then water and sanitation, then education. Those educated will get jobs, and they can use the money they earn for religious and cultural purposes. Let it not come from the state kitty.
