The community at Our Lady of Guidance Church in R. A. Puram popularly known as Saint Lazarus Church will be celebrating the harvest festival of Pongal on the 15th of January.
Parish Priest Fr Y.F. Bosco said that a kolam competition will be held from 6 to 7 am. It will be followed by Mass; then, pongal will be distributed to the congregation after Mass.
At San Thome Cathedral, the Pongal event will be celebrated on January 18; special Mass will be said and Pongal events held in the campus.
