K. Janaki, 100 years old and wife of late K V Kuppuswamy, a resident of Vinayakam Street in Mandaveli since 1957, passed away on January 28.
Her family said she was a remarkable woman who lived a fulfilling life.
She was a successful and charismatic entrepreneur of the 1970s, who apart from managing a big family also managed a flourishing business – selling Devendra sarees.
Her family said Janaki actively participated and contributed to local charities. She was actively involved in the subhashini puja and aadi masam bhajans held in Sringeri Mutt, R A Puram.
She is survived by five sons and their families.
