These are the traffic arrangements for Marina beach zone on Dec.31.
Vehicles from Adyar zone towards Kamarajar Salai will be diverted via Greenways Road and South Canal Bank Road junctions – towards Mandaveli, R.A. Puram 2nd Main Road, R.K. Mutt Road, and Luz.
For vehicles from Dr. R.K. Salai towards Kamarajar Salai, they will be diverted through V.M. Street junction, R.K. Mutt Road, Luz junction, Mandaveli, and South Canal Bank Road to reach San Thome High Road and on to Greenways Road.
These regulations will be effected after 8 pm, Dec.31.
Normally, the clock tower roundabout opposite the TN DGP office on the road is illuminated and people allowed to gather all around and raise a cheer for the new year and then disperse.
The Marina service road is closed to all traffic as is the beach, post 9 pm.
