Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s main hall in Mylapore was packed with rasikas. The first floor balcony was full too. It was Dushyanth Sridhar’s discourse on December 11.
Those who came in late had to gather around the TV monitor relaying the discourse.
There was a devotional atmosphere around – as the singers, sisters Anahitha and Apoorva, supported Dushyanth with their songs.
As the verses from Hanuman Chalisa were delivered, the rasikas were moved – some even joined the artistes in in the recitation. The chanting of Rama nama followed.
Many in that audience walked out after Dushyanth’s programme while others streamed in for Vignesh Ishwar’s vocal concert that followed. The hall below was full again.
