This was a Christmas time Sunday for seniors and the needy.
The community at Our Lady of Visitation Church in Abhiramapuram led by its parish priest Rev. Fr. T. Antony Raj hosted a Christmas meet for the elders and needy people of the parish on Sunday, December 17.
At 11 am, Holy Mass was celebrated and this was followed by singing of Christmas carols. A cake was cut and distributed to all who were present; then lunch was served.
People who attended this programme were presented with a set of new clothes and a cake.
The event was organised by the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of Abhiramapuram Conference led by its president K. Rakesh.
200 elders attended the event with their families.
People who did not have anyone to bring them to the church were picked up by the members of St Vincent de Paul
