Top artistes are featured in the Carnatic music festival that marks the thirteenth anniversary celebration of Arkay Convention Center in Luz ( opposite Vivek’s store).
Music concerts will be hosted here from Nov.18 to Dec 2, a fifteen-day series consisting of 30 concerts.
The inauguration is on November 18 and the day starts with mangala isai at 3.30 pm by SRGS Mohandass’s nagaswaram followed by the inauguration at 5.15 pm.
Madurai G S Mani, Dr. R S Jayalakshmi, K K Gopalakrishnan, director, South Zone Cultural Centre and Harish Lakshman of Rane Group, are the guests of honour at the opening event .
This will be followed by Neyveli Santhanagopalan’s concert at 6.30pm.
Artistes like A. Kanyakumari, Palghat Ramprasad, Sikkil Gurucharan, Suguna Varadachari, Carnatica Brothers, Nisha Rajagopalan, Amrutha Venkatesh and others will perform.
Though admission is free to the concerts, the host, A S Ramakrishnan requests donations from rasikas to support the fest – so if you wish to donate, contact him at the number given here.
Ramakrishnan says he has also planned concerts throughout December for the Season. “There will also be lectures and concerts by young stars besides concerts by senior artistes,” he says.
