Srinivasa Gandhi Nilayam in Alwarpet’s Ambujammal Street hosted a Children’s Day event on November 14.
The students of KRM Public School, Perambur, staged a medley of cultural shows which highlighted the need for peace and harmony and the need to use non-violent actions in resolving conflicts.
The students had studied the works on Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru and used the ideas in the show.
Though it was a rainy day, the students showed great enthusiasm in being on time at the venue and rolling out their show, said S. Kulandaiswamy of the Gandhi Peace Foundation.
