A park for pets has been planned in the Alwarpet area. The GCC part inside DeMonte Colony is to be de-designed for this purpose.
A preliminary survey has been done for this project.
Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu says that it will take a month for the basic plan to be on the table. “Currently, all the officials are engaged to address monsoon related issues so this project will be taken up a bit later,” he said.
But he does not have details of the basic ideas that have led to this project.
Velu says a sum of close to one crore rupees has been earmarked from the chief minister’s fund for this project.
