Children’s Day events in many Mylapore zone school were either very subdued ones or gently skipped – due to the inclement weather.
It has been raining through the night and in the morning this November 15 and school children who arrived at schools were not in a mood for celebrations.
Some school Heads said they chose to postpone the event while some said they let it pass by. Others said they could not prepare for this day because of the long holidays weekend.
At Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School in Mylapore, the event was kept snappy with short music and dance recitals and awards for students who shone in events. ( the photos here were shot at this campus)
