Officials at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple have said that samples of dead fish as well as water in the tank have been sent for lab tests after thousands of fish died inside 24 hours in the tank of this temple, starting Sunday evening.
While the fish samples have been sent to the TN Fisheries University labs located off the ECR, water samples have been sent to a government lab, it is understood.
The results should give an idea of the cause of the death of fish.
