19 choirs take part in ecumenical carols service at church in Mandaveli

CSI Saint Luke’s Church in Mandaveli  rang in the Christmas spirit by hosting an ecumenical carols event in its premises on November 26 at 6 pm.

The hosts  invited choirs from all  city parishes including Roman Catholic parishes.

19 teams participated in this event. Carols were sung in both English and Thamizh.
The teams that took part were – Good Shepherd  Men’s Voice, Voice of Eden, Tunes and Tones, Choir for Christ, Regenesis, Jasper Gems, Zimra Gospel Choir, CSI St. Mark’s, CSI John the Baptist, CSI St. John’s Church, Hearts of Praise, CSI Wesley Church Royapettah, Gospel Chords, CSI St ThomasTamil Church, CSI Missionary Chapel, CSI Christ Church Alandur, CSI Wesley Church Broadway, CSI Church of the Good Shepherd and CSI Kalyani Hospital Choir.
This event was organised under the leadership of presbyter Rev. G. Dhanasekaran together with the pastorate committee led by its secretary J. Florence Devakirubai and treasurer David Ganasambanthan and the choir master W. Yudha.
All the groups that participated were given mementos.
On Sunday, November 26, after the morning service, 45 members of the Men’s and Women’s Fellowship visited a home for mentally disabled children in Chengalpet. They distributed clothes, eatables and toiletries to the children and sponsored lunch.
