Workers at Chennai Metro’s Marina work space did not forget to garland the statue of Gandhi this Monday morning, a day that commemorates his birth anniversary.
The statue, which used to be closer to the pavement had to be shifted when major work began on the Metro line and on the station that is to come up here.
It is now located a few metres east of the original place.
