Navaratri is a time when lots of creative ideas get executed around the kolus and the decorations.
At V- Excel’s unit on Luz Church Road, the students and the teachers here have chosen to highlight the activities at this place around the community kolu they set up.
V-Excel, based in Mandaveli, has been educating and skilling special children for many years now and has centres across India.
The unit on Luz Church Road, called YES – Youth Empowerment Services – enables teens, male and female, to learn simple skills that will take them forward in life.
Skills like making podis, washing, copying and filing documents are taught here.
To showcase these activities, the YES community used models, labels, charts, figures and more to illustrate all these around the main kolu at this centre.
