The theatre group of Queen Mary’s College is presenting a play in English on Oct.12, 13 and 14 at the college auditorium.
The play is Girish Karnad’s ‘Hayavadana’ which earned huge appreciation after it was staged on the first few occasions.
The play at QMC is directed by Dr. Naga Radhika – she is an Australia India Council Fellow, having got the fellowship for her doctoral thesis on ‘Aboriginal Women’s Theatre’.
Radhika has been working long hours with the QMC student actors; the college is presenting a play after many years. This is an initiative of the English Department.
The shows on Oct 12 and 13 start at 2 pm and the show on Oct.14 starts at 6 pm. Tickets are sold at the venue, the college’s Golden Jubilee hall. ( College students get concession tickets – Rs.100).
