The life and times and creative work of Swathi Tirunal Rama Varma, the maharaja of Travancore who is also considered to be a brilliant music composer, will be presented in a string of stories by his descendant, the writer-raconteur princess Lakshmi Bayi Nalapat at a show to be held on Oct.16, 6.30 pm onwards.
This show is presented by theatre-person Prasanna Ramaswamy as part of her Speaking Stories series.
It is hosted by Madhuradhwani at Arkay Centre at Luz and is open to all.
The story telling will be in English, Malayalam and Thamizh and will be accompanied by the performances of dancer Nandhini Subbulakshmi and singers Madhuvanthi Mulia and Vidhya K. R.
The next show in this series is on Oct.21, 4.30pm and this one focuses on the stories of writer Imayam who has written much on caste issues. The show is ticketed and is at Medai- The Stage in Alwarpet.
