The community at CSI Saint Thomas Tamil Church in San Thome celebrated the 165th anniversary of their parish on October 22 in a grand manner.
Pastor Dr. Y. Sailas Gnanadas and the pastorate committee had planned a series of events that led to the Sunday celebration.
The religious service on Sunday was held at 7.30 am after which breakfast was served to all church members.
Later, a patti manram was held on the topic – Did Christ do social work or religious work? The moderator was Pon Wilson, a TV personality.
This was followed by a fellowship lunch.
On Saturday morning, a free health screening camp was held. That evening, a tree planting event was held, followed by a musical programme by the youth of the parish.
The music was provided by – David, Carol, Allan Paul, Alan Chryso, Berin, Frenny, Thangaraj, Koil Arulraj, Jeba Carter, Calvin and Clement, Dennis.
