Ekatvam, an initiative of Entrust foundation is hosting in Mylapore this Friday evening ( Oct.6), the second Sangita Kalanidhi T. N. Krishnan Memorial Award function and 95th birth celebrations of the violin maetsro.
The event is at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan East Mada Street Mylapore.
The awardees of this year are – 1. Sangita Kalandhi T N Krishnan Memorial Award : Dr.T. V. Gopalakrishnan
2. Sangita Kalandhi T N Krishnan Award of Excellence : .H. N. Bhaskar (violinist)
Former CBI Director and High Commissioner of India to Cyprus R. K. Raghavan
is the chief guest and will present the awards.
The award function will be followed by a vocal concert by Dr. T. V .Gopalakrishnan accompanied by S. Varadarajan on the violin, Dr. Thiruvaarur Bakthavathsalam on the mridangam and Tripunithura N. Radhakrishnan on the ghatam.
