Over the past few days, there have been varying spells of rain across the Mylapore neighbourhood.
These spells have been steady in one area while they have been short ones in another end of the Mylapore zone.
This morning, all around the Mada Streets zone of Mylapore the rain was steady and fairly heavy.
Many school children who were heading to school at that time were caught in the rain.
