Sundaram Finance will be organising its Navaratri Kutcheri series in from October 20 to 22 at Nageswara Rao Park from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
The concerts will be held at the Chess Square at the rear of the park. They are open to all.
On the first day of the festival, 14-year-old Harini Prasanna, student of PSBB Millennium School, OMR, accompanied by Mullaivasal Shivashankar C on violin and Aadithyan Sridharan on mridangam will be singing popular keerthanas. Harini Prasanna is a student of Mullaivasal Dr. G. Chandramouli, Lakshmi Vasudevan, and Archana Sridharan.
Samritha Balaji, aged 12, from PSBB Millennium School, OMR, will be performing on October 21, the second day of the fest.
Samritha is learning Carnatic music from Archana Sridharan. She will be accompanied on mridangam by Aadithyan Sridharan and on violin by Harini Prasanna.
On day three, October 22, 12-year-old Aradhana Padmanabhan of Vidya Mandir School, Mylapore, will sing. He is currently learning Carnatic music under Meena Sowrirajan.
Aradhana will be accompanied by Naveen R on mridangam and by Aniruddh S on violin.
The fest is supported by Sundaram Finance which also hosts the monthly ‘mikeless’ concerts every first Sunday of the months.
