A kolam workshop was conducted by Dr. Gayathri Shankarnarayan recently at R. A. Puram. This was an initiative of Radha Shankar who had let her spacious hall be the venue for the workshop.
Eight women working in different fields participated in the event.
Dr. Gayathri gave a brief theoretical lecture on “What is a Kolam?” and this was followed by activity-based sessions on the special techniques in designing kolams, designing kolams with / without dots , Kanya kolam and 5 line kolams done using all the 5 fingers.
