The street markets in Mylapore, Luz and Mandaveli are abuzz with hawking for the busy puja days ahead.
Hawkers have loaded their stalls with coconuts, thoranams, flowers and fruits.
There are also hawkers selling plain or painted pumpkins which people buy for the Ayudha puja.
On Mylapore’s South Mada Street, hawkers were quoting 50 to 300 rupees for plain / painted pumpkins.
