To mark the 95th birth anniversary of late actor Sivaji Ganesan, chief minister M K Stalin garlanded the artiste’s statue located inside the memorial in R A Puram this Sunday morning.
Also present with Stalin were some of his cabinet colleagues, city Mayor, R. Priya and Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu besides Sivaji’s sons including actor Prabhu and their families.
Through the morning, Sivaji fans paid their respects and took a look at the photo gallery inside the mantapam.
The Memorial, built by the state government, stands near the Muthamizh Manram near the Adyar river bridge on the west side.
Inside the mandapam, are some framed photos of the actor.
