The state’s HR & CE Department is celebrating Navaratri in a special manner by holding events at the Sri Kapaleeswarar Karpagambal Mantapam in R. A. Puram.
In one section of the large hall, twelve images of the Amman which are known across different temples in Tamil Nadu have been set up.
Elsewhere, a large kolu has been set up.
Every evening, concerts are held by young artistes on the main stage.
On day one of the festival, the wife of the chief minister, Durga Stalin formally inaugurated the festival here, alongside state minister Sekar Babu and parliamentarian, Thamizhachi Thangapandian and Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu besides others.
The celebrations and display here are open through the festival season.
