Three Mylapore schools managed by The National Boys & Girls Education Society celebrated ‘Bharathiyar Day’ on Sept.11 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore that evening.
While student groups took turns to present music and dance recitals, there were a few speeches too.
The schools which participated in this event to celebrate the life and work of the celebrated poet, writer and freedom fighter – Sir Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School, Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Snr. Sec. School and Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Hr. Sec. School.
The Bhavan’s main auditorium was packed with senior students and teachers of the three schools.
