Many schools in the Mylapore zone celebrated Teachers Day on September 5.
A group of students of Children’s Garden School, located off Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore visited the bungalow of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, late president of India and on whose birth day, Teachers Day is celebrated.
The girls adorned a bust of Dr Radhakrishnan with flowers and offered their respects. ( seen above)
This is something that the school girls do every year on this day.
At premises of Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School, Mylapore, in the evening, an event was held which covered the three schools that the Society manages. All teachers of the three schools were guests and there was an awards function. ( photo below)
At St. Anthony’s Girls School on Madha Church Road, R A Puram, senior students greeted the Headmistress and teachers with flowers, soon after the the first session for the day began. ( first photo here)
And students of Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Hr Sec School, Mylapore formed teams to decorate the campus and greet their teachers. ( photo below)
