Career Launcher in Alwarpet conducted the preliminary rounds of the Chennai Sudoku Challenge on Aug 26 and 27.
There was an overwhelming response from people of all age groups ranging from 6 years to 93 years, said the host.
The preliminary rounds continue on Sept.2 and 3 and the finals will be on Sept. 9 – the International Sudoku day.
Cash prizes are being awarded to the winners in various categories.
