‘Maha Periyavalin Dharisana Anubavangal’: in villupattu by Bharathi Thirumagan. Every Thursday evening.

Villupattu artiste Bharathi Thirumagan has been performing a series of concerts at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, once every week on the theme ‘Maha Periyavalin Dharisana Anubavangal’.

Every Thursday evening in the Bhavan’s mini hall, 2nd floor.

The 4th edition of this series is today, Sept.28 evening. Starts at 6.30 p.m. and runs for 90 minutes.

Bharathi says that the unique feature of this series is that it is based on the intense, personal experiences of a large number of people from all walks of life with Shri  Chandresekarendra Saraswathi swamigal, who is also known as the Sage of Kanchi, including anecdotes of the well-known and those in high office.

She says she has researched many books and articles where people have shared these experiences and used them to weave them into her villu-pattu performance.

The series, supported by Bhavan and Sri Krishna Sweets, will run for about eight weeks for now ( perhaps take a break during the busy December season).
