Kartik Fine Arts, Chennai recently organised a two-day workshop on ‘Vintage Thamizha Krithis’ conducted by senior vocalist Vijay Siva at R.R.Sabha, Mylapore.
The workshop was open to music students who have learnt at least 30 krithis from any guru.
20 participants registered and participated actively as the krithis taught were rare and the workshop was
interactive.
On the first day, KFA president S. N. Srikanth inaugurated the workshop and said the sabha is coming out with new initiatives in music and dance like immersive exercises for senior students in music and dance, besides
programmes to attract youth by reaching out to schools and colleges.
