India Post’s Sovereign Gold Bond scheme is open now. And you can buy the bond at the Mylapore Post Office and other local area post offices.
The scheme is open from Sept.11 to 15 only, as always, a limited period to make the investment.
Currently, one sovereign of gold is quoted at Rs.5923.
A India Post staffer said that anybody 18 years and above can invest, the minimum being one gram and maximum 2 kgs.
The closure of this investment can be made after 5 years.
At Mylapore Post Office, the special services counter on the first floor handles this scheme. Open from 10 am to 6 pm.
