Deepam Sweet and Karam shop in R. A. Puram offers freshly made traditional food for Sri Vinayaka Chaturthi.
Shop owner R. Maniraju, who launched this shop three years ago, says he has been busy procuring the ingredients to make authentic foodstuff.
Every Vinayaka Chaturthi season, Maniraju’s team prepares sweet kozhukattai, kara kozhakattai, paal kozhukattai, sakkarai pongal and sundal.
He says, “Companies order in bulk and take it a day before the festival, for their puja in the office. People buy on the festival day for their puja at home.”
The prasadam items will be ready by 7.30 am on the festival day, he adds.
The cost of a set of four sweet kozhukattai is Rs 60.
