Staff of Greater Chennai Corporation ( GCC) and of TN Fire Services displayed all the equipment they now possess to tackle emergencies in the open area off Doomingkuppam on Marina Loop Road on Saturday.
This was also done in a few other coastal areas of the city.
The display and a few mock demonstrations held that day were carried out to show to the public the resources and the preparedness of the civic services on the eve of the monsoon season.
Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu and local area councillor, Revathy visited the spot and were briefed by the service staff.
