The huge amount of waste that got washed on the shore of Pattinapakkam beach after the immersion of thousands of images of Vinayaka were cleared on Monday.
Workers of GCC, Urbaser Sumeet and others worked long hours to clear the waste on the shore.
GCC commissioner J. Radhakrishnan visited the area to over see the work.
