Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is hosting a Onam cultural festival at its Mylapore hall from August 21 to 25, with a variety of programmes every evening and these are open to all.
The inauguration is on August 21, 6 pm with former West Bengal governor, M. K. Narayanan, being the chief guest and Revathi Ramachandran, director of Kalakshetra, the special guest.
The festival includes two Kathakali recitals on Aug.21, chenda melam, oppanna and ottam thullal shows on Aug.22, Mohiniattam and folk songs on Aug.23, Koodiyattam and Mohiniattam recitals on Aug.24 and a Malayalam play on Aug.25.
