Shree V S S Jain Sangh, Mylapore hosted the Independence Day celebration on August 15 morning
at Shree V S S Jain Sthanak located off Bazaar Road, Mylapore.
The flag hoisting was held at about 9 am and the 101-year-old Ratni Bai ji Chordia, the seniormost member of the community here, made the effort to be present and hoisted the flag in the presence of members of various Jain community units that function here.
There was also a fancy dress competition for children. Breakfast was also served to guests.
