The 5th edition of the Balamurali Nada Mahotsav which celebrates the late music maestro Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna is to be held on July 6 evening at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
Dancer and scholar Dr Padma Subrahmanyam is to be decorated with the Murali Nada Lahari award by Dr B K Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, chairman of the Bhavan in Coimbatore.
This event is curated by Dr M. Balamuralikrishna Memorial Trust and Bhavan, Chennai Kendra.
The evening’s programme, 6 pm onwards, will start with a musical tribute led by vocakists Krishnakumar and Binni Krishnalkumar, the late maestro’s sishyas. The award event follows.
