State-sponsored cycles are being given to school girls at local area schools in recent days.
One morning, Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu was at Rani Meyyammai Girls School in R A Puram to symbolically hand over cycles to a group of girls, in the presence of the school’s HM and faculty.
On another day, councillor Amirda Varshini was at St Anthony’s Girls School on Madha Church Road, R A Puram to hand over a few cycles to the girls studying here.
