K. G. Pushpavalli took formal charge as headmistress of Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mylapore this Monday morning ( July 3).
A simple traditional ceremony was held at 9 a.m. to welcome her.
Present here was Vatsala Narayanaswamy, who is part of the school management, who despite her advanced age, was in the school’s portico to greet the new HM.
The school band and senior students welcomed the new HM and teachers. Pushpavalli was then led to the HM’s room and after she took her seat, was greeted in turn by teachers and staff.
She has taken charge from P. Rubi Puthotta who retired on June 30.
